The Skoda 860 was the priciest and largest Skoda of its era, designed by the Czech automaker for well-off businesspeople and government agencies. Skoda’s car, the 860, introduced in 1929 was the most expensive limousine from its lineup in its era. Clcompany is delighted to feature the facts about the 1929’s Classic Skoda 860.
Background
When other Western European automakers competed with other brands in their home markets, Skoda was the only automaker in the Central-Eastern region of the continent. By collaborating with other well-known companies, such as the Hispano-Suiza, it attempted to develop its products while doing things its own way. The Skoda 860 is a passenger car that the Czech automaker Skoda made between 1929 and 1933. It was initially displayed at the 1929 Prague Motor Show. The car’s manufacturer preferred not to sell the vehicle as a chassis cab and only offered it with internally made bodywork.

The Design
The 860 was available as a convertible or a closed sedan. It had a sturdy steel front bumper, and the engine and radiator were mounted above the front axle by the engineers. The inline-eight engine required a bonnet that was particularly long.
The sedan version’s interior included an intercom-equipped wall separating the driver and the back seats. The automaker added two folding and stow-away individual seats in addition to a bench in the back. The rear passenger’s legroom was unmatched when those weren’t in use.
