The 12th Annual ITC Hotels Historic Vehicles Drive was held on January 29th morning in Bengaluru after an eight-year gap. The goal of the “drive to revive” concept was to bring the city’s most recognizable event back in order to symbolize the spirit of forging ahead toward a better future. The drive was presented by the Federation of Historic Vehicles of India (FHVI) and ITC Hotels, Bengaluru.
Dr. MA Saleem, who served as the event’s keynote guest in addition to being Bengaluru’s special commissioner and ADGP for traffic, started the drive.
Around 50 classic automobiles, including Jaguar, Mercedes, MG, Austin, Triumph, and others, as well as 30 motorbikes, featuring BSA, Triumph, Royal Enfield, Yezdi, and Jawa, among others, were seen on Bengaluru’s roads during the drive.
After breakfast, the vehicles left ITC Windsor on Sankey Road in Bengaluru and drove across the city till they arrived at ITC Gardenia at 12.30 pm, where the event was concluded over lunch.
For bike and car fans in particular, it was a sight to behold as the vehicles raced through Namma Bengaluru’s streets. The driving route passed by several important city monuments, including Vidhana Soudha, Cubbon Park, and Ulsoor Lake. MG Road, UB City. The event by FHVI was successful.
