Clcompany is delighted to feature the facts about Vintage Volkswagen Jetta – a car that became synonymous with style and speed and shall become the bestselling European car not only in Europe but also in North America.
The year 1979, it was, when the Jetta was launched. The first of its model was referred to as MK1 and was introduced at the Frankfurt motor show. The genesis of Jetta was very interesting as the Golf sales had picked up and car was admired by all, there was a distinct thought among the Volkswagen designers that the hatchback body lacked style of a traditional 3 box sedan. Then history was created where Volkswagen designers essentially grafted a new trunk onto the tail of the Golf to produce a larger Jetta. Thus Jetta was born.
